Veronica Flores Zapata

Veronica Flores Zapata is a Licenced Professional Counselor. She is a bicultural and bilingual therapist and offers therapy in Spanish. She has been in the counseling field for over a decade; supporting individuals impacted by childhood trauma, family/community violence, and grief. She was born in Mexico and identifies with the unique challenges of an immigrant growing up in the US and navigating new systems as a first generation professional. Veronica obtained her Master's in Counseling Psychology degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is trained in eye movement and desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), trauma informed/healing centered approach and learning internal family systems(IFS) therapy. Veronica's therapeutic approach is eclectic and tailored to the personal needs and goals of the individual; honoring their personal story and intersectionality with race, culture, religion, strengths, and sexual orientation. Veronica believes that healing starts whenever we are willing to look at ourselves from a place of compassion.
