Jocsan Martinez is an Executive Assistant to the Constellation Energy CNO. Mr. Martinez began his career at Constellation in 2011 as a Systems Engineer. After 3 years in Engineering, he transitioned to the Operations Department as an Initial License Training (ILT) trainee. He received his Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license in 2016 and has since been in an operations leadership role on shift. As a people leader, Mr. Martinez leads his crew in the safe and reliable operation of Byron Station. Moreover, he leverages a collaborative leadership approach in his engagement of the organization to resolve equipment issues and maintain Byron Station operationally focused. He is also the ILT 22-1 class mentor and spends time mentoring ILT trainees through simulator observations and on shift. Since the start of his career, Mr. Martinez has been involved in Constellation Employee Resource Groups (SHPE, OLE, Gen-Nation, NAYGN) for professional development and to give back to his community. Additionally, he has been part of the Constellation recruitment team at the collegiate level. As an ambassador for Constellation, Mr. Martinez has interviewed potential candidates and has presented to large audiences on the value Constellation provides to its customers. Above all, he has a passion working with Constellation peers in the mentoring of students of all ages in the areas of STEM (ex. Solar Spotlight, Nuke-Week, Regional Science Bowls). Mr. Martinez has a bachelor’s degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Civil Engineering. He is also an Emerging Leaders graduate of the 2016 Constellation-Generation cohort. In December of 2020, Mr. Martinez completed his MBA from the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium. He resides in Rockford, Illinois. He is an avid runner and enjoys visiting National/State Parks with his partner and puppy.
